oztoml.org converts fluid ounces to millilitres, and that's about all it does. It needs very little from you, and this page lays out exactly what.
In one line
The conversion runs on your own device, in the browser. Whatever you type never travels to us, there is no account to create, and closing the tab leaves nothing behind on our side.
The data that does exist
Only what any web server sees when it sends you a page. When your browser requests oztoml.org, our host notes the request in a log: the IP it came from, the page asked for, a timestamp, the browser's user-agent, and a referring page if there was one. We read those logs to keep the site healthy and to notice attacks or heavy scraping. They aren't tied to a name, and the host ages them out within roughly a month.
Cookies and measurement
You can use the converter with cookies switched off entirely; it doesn't rely on them. Any we do set would only keep the page working or hold a small preference. If we ever count visitors, we do it with a tool that reports numbers in aggregate, not one that follows people around the web.
Advertising
There are no third-party ads on the site today. Should we add them later, an ad network might drop its own cookies and see your IP, so we would list who they are and point to their policies before turning anything on.
Rights and requests
Non-essential cookies are always optional here. Under laws like the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California you can ask what personal data we hold and request its deletion. Because we keep no personal profiles, there is usually nothing to send back, but the door is open, just write to us.
Keeping it safe
Traffic runs over HTTPS and we keep the software current. Perfect security doesn't exist, but there is almost nothing sensitive to protect here, by design.
Younger visitors
oztoml.org is meant for a general audience, not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly gather anything from them.
Updates to this page
Any change shows up here with a new date at the top. If something meaningful shifts, we'll make it plain rather than slip it in quietly.
