Treat the numbers on oztoml.org as a handy reference rather than a certified measurement. Here is where their limits sit.
It isn't professional advice
A converter does arithmetic; it doesn't know your situation. Nothing here counts as medical, legal, financial or engineering guidance. When a choice hinges on the figure being spot-on and the stakes are real, get a qualified opinion alongside it.
Rounding, and the exact figures
Displayed results are trimmed to a readable number of decimals, so they can sit a hair off the full-precision value. The anchors we work from are 29.5735 mL to a US fluid ounce and 28.4131 mL to an Imperial one, both from NIST Special Publication 811. When you need it exact, calculate from those.
Fluid ounces are not weight ounces
The main tool converts fluid ounces, a volume. An ounce can equally be a weight (about 28.35 g), which is a separate measure entirely. A few pages here deal with weight ounces and flag it at the top, so make sure you're on the one you actually want.
The bottom line
We work carefully and cite recognised standards, yet we can't promise a result matches your exact case, and we take no responsibility for choices made on the strength of it.
